Honestly, the transactional focus of this app depresses me endlessly. I don’t even want to connect a wallet, or be part of a ‘crypto-community’. It feels cut-off, gamified, worse than Twitter, in a sense, almost perverse.

In general the system here is for tipping to content creators - which is awesome, and it's hard to hate the idea. Obviously, many people started to use it as a tool for profit. I guess you see this everywhere now. Use this 'show fever like this' feature. It works. It needs time to learn your preferences but it works!

‘Content creators’. I am not sure what that means anymore; everyone is a ‘content creator’, posting has been monetized one way or another already. Anyway, I really doubt this app is ‘the way’. Like you say, something like this gets perverted quite quickly: when $-signs appear.

It's ok. I understand, but you can say the same thing about the NFT space, and art on blockchain - and some of us stayed true to themselves. Here is no different. There are bad actors, but there are honest artists earning some real money by just posting their art online. I don't see this part as a bad thing.

Yes, exactly the things of the NFT space that I was always sceptical about. Can you briefly explain to me how this ‘degen’ is transformed into real money? I am to uninterested to look it up online (also, I tried, but documentation was hard to find).

You earn it from tips. There is a list, you can see your points. You claim the airdrop at the end of the month. You convert it to ETH. You sell it for fiat.
