I personally think "own/control your own data" being the punchline for most web3 products is at best extremely weak esp. when facing consumers. Consumers don't tend to optimize for "safety" when they are looking for fun. It's rarely ever the primary hook.

average consumers prob won’t care but large creators who’s entire livelihood depend on a social app do. the fear of getting banned on Twitter or twitch or YouTube and having your income immediately cut off is very real. and average consumers will go where their fav creators go

"how's the app different in an explicit way?" is something on top of my mind as we are pivoting. for example, i thought the "pay to put any wallpaper during Brian's livestream" felt unique, and could be interesting - i think it's along these angles of features/directions that pull/retain more users imo than safety
