Doing the same things over and over again, ritualistically makes life go faster it seems. Doing things that are new makes life feel like it goes slower

Yet by putting yourself in a position where you are constantly doing new things over and over again - it puts you back again, where you started - doing the same (new) things over and over again

Reminds me of how Anthony Bourdain got so bored (or so he says) after awhile about the same old nice Michelin star restaurant and the same new exciting city to land in. There’s something to be said, without the mundane; there is no explanation of experiences filled with awe
