Have you considered building with TEEs in your crypto protocol? We a a16z just published a primer for you! TLDR: Expect them to be compromised. Use them primarily for privacy, not for integrity. Use ORAM when possible. There is a lot to build -- have fun but be wary.

Don't use them for privacy either. Use them for defense in depth in key management scenarios on top of setting reasonable trust boundaries. Anything else is going to burn you.
