if you are building a product someone made a token for your product without your involvement unless it is obviously malicious, it's better to be open to it, have fun with it, and experiment on it. because it's one of those unique aspects of crypto, i.e. the permissionless creation of assets. and the subsequent speculative nature of any asset gives a good opportunity to see what this weird social dynamics can do to your product. plus, the fact that you didn't create it yourself enables you to conduct the wildest experiments possible without any liabilities, and that's really valuable. just remember you are doing this for yourself you don't owe any speculators anything so shut the noise out

imho you should never think of or care about the token price or the talks around it do your thing, build the product, see the token as a fun experiment for the product, both socially and utility-wise. the goal of the experiment is to see how a token can make the product "better" in any sense, not the other way around
