the reactions to this PROPOSAL is quite interesting below is my interpretation of the proposal and some personal thoughts. PS. given that many of you perhaps didn't even read through the V2 intro, i'm not holding my breath that you'd read this. but i really hope that you would. 1. i believe some ppl misunderstood the proposal. what it says is that you can tip anyone any amount of $farther at any time, but the person you tipped can not tip you back in $farther if you tipped him first (tip will be invalid), though he can still tip you anything else. and the same goes the other way around. this will reset at the beginning of each cycle. 2. "how do i know if someone tipped me already before i tip him?" an auto-reply bot can be used to alert you if your tip is invalid, akin to the one $degen uses. continue...

3. "what if the auto-reply becomes spammy?" it shouldn't. because if the bot got triggered a lot by you, it means that you are tipping many people that tipped you before in this season. as a tipper, your goal, and also the point of V2, is NOT to receive tips, but to win rewards by looking for and betting on undervalued small accounts. in other word, you are an investor and your tip allowance is your capital. the faster your investments grow (reflected by your tipping score), the more $farther you can earn by the end of the season. so as long as you play this game with the mindset of an investor instead of a tip beggar, farmer, or whatever, the chances of you receiving tips as a tipper should be small, and even smaller that you would tip the same person who tipped you. NOTE, this is THE differentiator, or moat the $farther has over other tipping tokens. and we don't want to be just another tipping token. we want to be meaningfully different. continue...

4. "but why do we need this restriction" to prevent or maximally reduce tip farming. "i tip you and you tip me back" is a very common and parasitic farming strategy. it is relatively easy to detect farmers that mass tip bot accounts with suspicious activities and hold no tokens/allowances in their wallets. but reciprocal tipping, or tip trading is somewhat difficult to judge as both parties have allowances. in the case of real users doing tip trading, that would totally diminish the purpose of Farther V2 since they are farming each other to "off-ramp" their tips rather than helping undervalued small accounts to grow. tip farming is a tough and severe issue that has rekt many other tipping tokens. the OG $degen is still combating it until this day and its distribution has been very much skewed because of it. i personally believe that for the longevity of $farther, the importance of fencing off farmers largely outweighs the reduced flexibility, unless you have a better solution.
