visiting china semi-regularly as part of my family came from there. agree with most of what he said, except for the air thing. it definitely got improved but imo nowhere near "fixed"

automation is the most shocking to me, to the extent that it's almost spooky

one caveat i'd stress is that china is so large and diverse that one's perception can change drastically depending on where you visit in china; always take it with a grain of salt whenever someone says "china is..." while only having seen a tiny bit of the huge nation.
