Remember when Tesla was cool?

I'm over here trying to figure out what happened to them. I wish I could spot a common thread.

Idk, they're still cool. Sometimes our political views interfere with our perception. I personally don't care about the political views of the person behind these brands.

I'm not referring to the CEO or his politics at all. He can do whatever he likes, with recognition that his antics do have a bearing on his work. I'm referring to the success of two flailing companies that I could easily love.

Gotcha. But you are now talking about the financial success of these companies. I misunderstood you when you said they were not cool. They could still be cool but not financially stable.

I think they're related. An unstable and flailing company sheds users and limits future success. The products can't be successful if the companies aren't successful.
