Notion Calendar's new "Avoid conflicts" is _so close_ to being great, but it's currently unusable for me since I can't offer the same time slot to 2 people because it treats "unbooked availabilities" as conflicts. This ~defeats the purpose of the availability feature imo.

Okay, tested this feature more and can confidently say it's the "best idea most poorly executed" I've seen in some time. If you have a large availability window (eg 4 hrs) and there is a _single_ meeting in that window, it removes that entire 4hr availability window. Sigh, might be time to move to Vimcal.

how are any of these different from cal.com? i love how these products make me work to figure out their value. kind of their job isn’t it?

as far as i know Cal doesn't do "availability blocks" - ie ad hoc open meeting window i create for a specific person. i personally do not find the calendly approach to work well because it's too rigid and doesn't take into account _who_ the meeting is with

oh I see. I would want to create a raycast plugin where I can type 'mark everything after 5pm open for today and tomorrow and it hits the api and does it for me. going into settings to change it often makes me no want to use it.
