Notion Calendar's new "Avoid conflicts" is _so close_ to being great, but it's currently unusable for me since I can't offer the same time slot to 2 people because it treats "unbooked availabilities" as conflicts. This ~defeats the purpose of the availability feature imo.

Okay, tested this feature more and can confidently say it's the "best idea most poorly executed" I've seen in some time.

If you have a large availability window (eg 4 hrs) and there is a _single_ meeting in that window, it removes that entire 4hr availability window. Sigh, might be time to move to Vimcal.

Whole acquisition was botched imo

Had so much potential but now feels like a forgotten toy that was used for a short-term user acquisition play and I think many users churned (myself included)

Fantastical is tried and true (I’m about to make the move back there from Notion Calendar)

Amie is the up-and-comer, beautiful and well-built but tbd if they’ll deliver on their vision

Does Fantastical have the same "share availability" functionality Notion Cal has? Openings and Proposals feel similar but not the same.

as far as i know Cal doesn't do "availability blocks" - ie ad hoc open meeting window i create for a specific person.

i personally do not find the calendly approach to work well because it's too rigid and doesn't take into account _who_ the meeting is with
