How do I explain to that friend who wants to buy crypto now, knowing $BTC crossed $100K?

I love how you placed ETH as a half-risky, half-safe asset.

For complete new folks I give them two basket suggestions >

Low risk:  60%BTC, 20%ETH, 20% to explore with higher risk assets.

High Risk:  20 BTC, 40 ETH, 40 to explore.

Depending on their size no more than 10 % of their investments if they’re US based.  If younger and more open to risk than this could be higher.

I also say they need to make their own decisions… and if their a close friend I’ll send them Degen or another I’m the money trade to add exposure for them.
