The left is authoritarian in Brazil. They've killed the former mayor of my city and threatened to kill my mom. I wonder how much the deep state is pushing for this

The killing was ordered by the current president. Mayor was part of the party in power. He was going to expose a lot of the corruption they were doing there

Ohhh god this is like reading a comicbook. I bieleve in the political hypothesis. Also what a joke is this: "According to the other members of the gang, Monstro intended to communicate that the mayor should be freed. However, Edson claimed to have misinterpreted this remark as meaning he should be killed."" ???

With my so little knowledge abou brazil from news, freinds stories and movies, I beileve now the cartels do really run the city. I don't like it when places are runned by mafias. Everything becomes a mess. We suffered a lot of such stories here in lebanon but much more controlable over time.

Funnily enough I think there are more "Lebanese" in Brazil than in Lebanon! Lots of Lebanese people in the city that I grew up
