The left is authoritarian in Brazil. They've killed the former mayor of my city and threatened to kill my mom.

The killing was ordered by the current president. Mayor was part of the party in power. He was going to expose a lot of the corruption they were doing there

With my so little knowledge abou brazil from news, freinds stories and movies, I beileve now the cartels do really run the city.

I don't like it when places are runned by mafias. Everything becomes a mess.

We suffered a lot of such stories here in lebanon but much more controlable over time.

Yeah. I grew up in Beirut, where my friends used to talk about their relatives in Brazil and their life there before coming back to Lebanon.

One of them used to talk about one of his uncles being a drug lord there. Idk if this gives off negative vibes, but we're not all the same. We have our issues with these people here too.

Funnily enough I think there are more "Lebanese" in Brazil than in Lebanon! Lots of Lebanese people in the city that I grew up
