There's a concept called "WEIRD bias" in psychology and social science: we make broad claims about human behavior based on experiments conducted on Western, educated, industrialized, rich, democratic subjects.

I think most developers are weird, too. In what ways is the average developer different from most users?

Same. Not intentionally ofc but I just flow and then suddenly it’s dark and I haven’t had anything except for two pots of coffee. Oops.
