In The Odyssey, Odysseus goes on a journey which was supposed to take only a few weeks in terms of time and resources. 

But it ends up taking 10 years. If the actual trip had gone according to plan, itd take a few weeks it would’ve been a terrible book.

I first heard of The Odyssey via a talking dog on public tv called “Wishbone.”. Sounds random but it’s the first thing I thought of while reading this beautiful thought.
