i have started the second silo book to pick up where the show left off because I am can’t just leave a story once it’s come alive and

holy suffocation. it’s great but I’m not sure if I can make it through. for some reason the show obscures the worst of the suffocating quality of the books.

here with more silo updates. i’ve been unable to keep reading the books. my clausterophobia is drawing a hard line and I have no desire to spend my precious free time wrapped in a semi-plausible story of how these people get trapped underground. 💀

conversely, the show is one of the best I watched all year, and I keep wanting more episodes. 

I am such a book girly so this is a curious experience. It might be that with sci-fi, a novel makes it too dark, but a show feels more sensational. it
maybe book 2 is just darker. Regardless, an interesting testament to the differences between reading and viewing.
