Yea I think this is a reasonable take. 

My  first thought is 1) how many of the inputs would fall in that bucket? And 2) are there any mechanisms that check for errors and data manipulation?

Just that the real world can’t be put into a blockchain — ie: if fallible human input is required, then the trust assumptions of the system change. However, for example, if you wanted to tokenise chunks of energy that are coming out of solar panels to verify that they’re renewable, that I can get behind.
