Theory nerds and relative pitch people: Is the interval of the office theme song (first two melodica notes) and the interval of the ET theme song (main strings section) the same interval?

im no expert but ill take a stab. yes, going with the simplest approach...they're both perfect fifths. but it really comes down to the exact notes or note combinations.
