A Levy for school funding is up for a vote this year in my school district. How do I get people to vote 'yes' for it? Since it affects home owners though tax, I assume renters that are parents would be the easiest to convince? Any strategies for everyone else?

Our school levy failed over and over for 20 years. It took a bunch of young people moving into the district to pass it. My suggestion: organize a bunch of young parents - with kids in the lower school. Go door to door asking people to vote. W enough people - it is easier than most think and the most effective way

BTW, our levy passed. I didnt do door-to-door, but I did speak at the local city council public hearing, donate some moneys, and put up some yard signs. My kiddo isn't even in the public school system for a few more years so I'll pay taxes without a near term benefit, but I'd rather not let the school fall behind.

Thank you for the suggestion! Its so frustrating that folks won't invest in societal / human "infrastructure" for the future.
