What have been the most engrossing books you've read i.e. had a hard time putting down? Some of mine: - Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow - Parable of the Sower - Project Hail Mary - Masters of Doom - Ready Player One

Loved both The Code Book and The Man from the Future! They actually were the opposite result for me in that I had to put the book down to process what I was reading vs speed read through it

Yes, definitely books one shouldn't rush through :) Have been looking forward to a new chapter of the Code Book over the last few evenings, a lot of information but so well written!

Highly recommend Simon Singh's other book Fermat's Enigma if you haven't read it yet. One of my all time favorites!

@linda @moritz do you only read or also listen (audio books) to these? I reckon the Enigma and Code Book could be hard to follow on audio

I tried to listen to audio books in the past but I find myself zoning out / distracted a lot with them so I only read now

I mostly read, used to listen to audio books a little but haven't in a while (listen to a lot of podcasts though) You're probably right - the Code Book has a lot of examples with graphics so I'm not sure it'd be easy to follow in an audio version
