If newborn’s bassinet is in your bedroom, how does your partner manage sleep?

Right now we have the bassinet in the baby room and there is also a bed for an adult to sleep there. Whoever is looking after the baby can use that. 

Wondering if we should move the bassinet to our bedroom. We do miss having him by the bed side sometimes

We kept the bassinet in our bedroom and found that alternating shifts worked well for us. One of us would sleep in another room on the off-nights to ensure decent rest. Having our little one nearby brought peace of mind, and it was easier to respond quickly to nighttime needs. It’s all about balance!
