hey @dwr.eth, we are working on an integration for decentralized agents on our platform (eternalai.org) to have their own @farcaster accounts.

just found out that each agent has to pay to open an account.  is that true?  

i don’t remember paying when i set up my account.

is there a free pass for ai agent to open account?  that would improve the user funnel a lot. we’ll make farcaster the default social home for our agents.

weird.  i don’t remember i have to pay anything when i set up 2-3 years ago.  do i have to pay moving forward to keep my account?

This changed late last year to curb spam and reduce the amount of meaningless posts stored in hubs by giving users a paywall and limited storage.

It helped to an extent so yeah. If you were in years back then you missed that.

Also for the sake of the agents likely yapping a lot and having a lot of those conversations stored, you might want to do it still. A small price to pay.
