Most common use case I think is a NAS.

If you’re into smart home stuff there’s HomeAssistant. Can be paired with local LLMs and voice recognition if you wanna fully escape Alexa/Google Assistant/Siri.

Uptime Kuma if you want monitoring.

Thankfully there's not a ton of coding required! Most of the workflow is finding a Docker container of a service you'd like to host yourself, then maintaining your containers with Portainer and/or Watchtower.
