A bold suggestion for @jacek & the $DEGEN community: 

$DEGEN tips should become $tDEGEN to differentiate them from liquid $DEGEN. 

(This would follow industry norms like AAVE’s aETH or “ve” for vested tokens, etc.)

Just gave away 500K $DEGEN in a /yellow contest & many were asking “tips or tokens?”

I hv seen newcommers getting a bit confused but they get it after some explaining. Interesting idea. The major downside is, it will increase greed and less tipping. So if I accumulate tDEGEN, I will be less likely to give it out and will keep to swap for DEGEN for myself. Cuz points are not for me and illiquid, I tip.

I wouldn’t anticipate anything would change except the name. $tDEGEN would still only exist in Jacek’s offchain ledger until it is airdropped, at which point it becomes $DEGEN. There wouldn’t be any fungibility between $tDEGEN and $DEGEN or any other currency.

I see.. i thought its onchain and liquid like the aave example

also - the culture is pretty cemented now around DEGEN - I wonder how hard it would be to change nomenclature.

Ah, I just gave those as examples of the naming convention but no, I would imagine them still as offchain placeholders. So really just a name change for clarity, especially for new folks.
