but the one thing you absolutely can not afford to do is underestimate alt L1s and L2s

that's how you die a slow death

do not assume superiority, ever — these people are working super hard

update your priors every single day

most of the anti-L2 arguments I see floating around are some recycled thoughts from 2022 that have since been addressed

again, you must relentlessly learn or you will die

information and shipping fast are your only edge

a lot of very cool DePIN stuff (decentralized mapping, gps systems, wireless, gpu clusters, LLM inference tokens, energy grids)

very solid payments (and micropayments) talent with probably the best UX ive seen (tiplink, code, solana pay), smart wallets, email sends without wallets etc

things like Drip that turn content into tokens via compressed NFTs

but the biggest strength remains the low-latency quant types building infra still, which lines up with Toly's vision of The Financial Computer

quite weak on socialfi atm

Besides DEX, what's the the most interesting application happening in Solana right now? Would love to update my own priors.
