openvibe.social has now integrated Threads (but still "quite limited") after adding Mastodon, Bluesky, and Nostr.

I agree with Openvibe’s founder: “the open social space can challenge legacy social media, but only if it’s united.” If a social network is open enough, there will always be bridges to connect it.

Although Threads has started to connect to the Fediverse, it’s still “quite limited.” Most notably, you can’t see your followers and following outside of Threads. It seems that Threads still views its users' social graph as a valuable thing.

I think there’s room for aggregators right now. They’re essentially client products that adapt to popular social networks, integrating with whichever are trending. If one protocol eventually wins out, these aggregators can naturally shift to it without major changes. 

For example, Phaver and Buttrfly evolved from Lens clients to aggregating both Lens and Farcaster, and if Lens fades, they could easily become full Farcaster clients.

come up with a protocol that works and has good ux and invest in that instead of wasting time trying to aggregate across a dozen small protocols
