openvibe.social has now integrated Threads (but still "quite limited") after adding Mastodon, Bluesky, and Nostr. I agree with Openvibe’s founder: “the open social space can challenge legacy social media, but only if it’s united.” If a social network is open enough, there will always be bridges to connect it.

Although Threads has started to connect to the Fediverse, it’s still “quite limited.” Most notably, you can’t see your followers and following outside of Threads. It seems that Threads still views its users' social graph as a valuable thing.

hot take: i don't buy this come up with a protocol that works and has good ux and invest in that instead of wasting time trying to aggregate across a dozen small protocols
