It means: BTC whales can store their funds on Base and engage in DeFi, which is bullish for Base's DeFi ecosystem, similar to how WBTC was a key driver for ETH DeFi. Or, from another perspective, Base is essentially becoming BTC鈥檚 EVM Layer 2.
