I noticed many WebThree apps have shifted back to login only via Email/Google/Apple/Twitter, and then auto-generate a new embedded/smart wallet for me. Wait, wait, wasn鈥檛 WebThree supposed to be about logging into any app with just a wallet address, with identity and data fully controlled by the user? 馃え

It should at least allow me to log in with my own wallet, while still being able to auto-generate a new embedded/smart wallet for me.

Marketing gets stagnated with the use of wallet address cos what will the marketers (email) use for newsletter and information when everything needs to be signed in with a wallet address?? There are the only issues I can think about. I also avoid using web apps that claim to be web3 but still requires my full name and email, rather go for ones without it.

understand, it shows that crypto services are still far from mass adoption. If we get used to using wallet-based messaging services (like XMTP), then we could receive messages directly in our wallets or across different apps, instead of relying on email.

True, just about 15% of the population own crypto and doesn't mean all 15% knows how to use or the utmost benefits of what they are doing or using yet. How then do they onboard web2 users? It's more like pushing them too much into web3 and using only wallet sign in options only is like leaving the remaining 85% and focusing only on 15%. Well, I believe both wallet and email signups should be an option for users.
