The crypto industry is certainly not just "a damn casino for dum-dums". It also has significant contributions such as: - @vocdoni enabling the Esquerra Republicana party in Catalonia to hold direct democracy via onchain voting. - @sfca benefiting children in the Dominican Republic through onchain art and culture. - @thirdinternet supporting education initiatives for high school students, leading to onchain-related job opportunities. ...... I haven't systematically reviewed all the areas where crypto technology has made a significant impact, but "onchain is the next online" is not just a slogan. This is where the crypto industry is changing the world and benefiting more people. Yes, it faces challenges now, but it will be the trend of the future.

Sometimes, I also need to prepare answers to respond to questions from outsiders about the actual value of crypto, why I choose to be involved in it, etc.

Given that Jesse has repeatedly emphasized that onchain is not the same as crypto, I feel it’s necessary to explain why I tend to “conflate” the two. In my view, the term "onchain" emphasizes the application, whereas "crypto" refers to the underlying technology. Therefore, I broadly categorize both under the crypto industry. I hope everyone can understand and forgive this generalization.
