DAOs 2.0 aim to achieve true autonomy through onchain agents, echoing Dreamcoin's hypernetworks concept of agent-driven organizational architecture. this article noted that earlier DAOs were human-centric with minimal automation. Onchain agents signify the start of DAOs 2.0, enabling AI to automate daily objectives while humans focus on providing capital, guidance, and long-term planning, tasks beyond AI's reach. This approach is particularly suited for tasks like long-term investing, which involve uncertain factors and complex data. Agents can efficiently execute immediate strategies using deterministic algorithms and accessible data. The rise of agents in DAOs is a clear trend, and look forward to projects that successfully implement and scale this concept.

Have we seen any projects already attempting to integrate agents into DAOs? @pingfeng

I havent done anything on this yet but It's also where I see the real innovation of onchain agents going, allowing delegation and coordination a way greater new levels where every holder can have an agent -attuned- to their previous chats history, voting history, etc, and help with self-delegation without requiring everyone to vote every god damn time manually (most people dont engage with DAO's voting bc its tiresome)

Yes, in fact, many DAOs that rely on human voting haven't really taken off, and the voters themselves often don't have comprehensive information. Delegating to onchain agents might be a better option. However, the prerequisite is to fully leverage the capabilities of existing AI to enable them to make the most appropriate decisions possible.

yep i think just a -central- ai agent a DAO can offer as a self-delegation option (vs delegation to DAO directly) might be a great way to find alignment on fast-paced but reasoned decision making. the good thing is most of this can have humans in the loops gates at first until the entities running them are ensured about letting them run in auto-mode
