The only downside of how popular tipping has gotten is that every post feels like panhandling now. Just constantly people in the replies asking for a tip for doing absolutely nothing 😂

This is very true. But also, it is not hard to post insightful things and engage in conversations. I bet that if people did this consistently, they'll get their tips. But people don't want to put effort into anything this days.

A contrary opinion here: I think that it is actually hard to be insightful. A lot of the time I read something and have to really think about it before I can come up with something to respond with that is more than, "yeah, bro" type comments. And I'm not unintelligent.
