the Supreme Court will probably rule race-conscious admissions illegal later this year. this lets certain top schools keep doing it without getting sued

every major research university gets federal funding. check out stanford, for example--the entire SLAC budget and most of "Sponsored research" is federal, adding up to more than a billion a year https://facts.stanford.edu/administration/finances/
