Could be. Younger folks are generally more open to this kind of stuff anyway too, frivolity, whimsy, chance.

Pet theory I just made up on the spot.

Millennials grew up in a society that appeared to function relatively well, watched it break and now want to fix it.

Zoomers grew up in a broken society, watched the spoils go to the rich, the famous, the callous, and the amoral; now change looks like a lost cause.

So millennials want projects  that change the world and zoomers are content with cynical financial nihilism.

Nobody can know but i’m in all the trenches and anecdotally the older crypto  places I hang out are more angsty about memes and the younger places less so. 

Bitcoin (oldest): absolutely not 
Ethereum (middle old) not comfy 
Solana (zoomers) just fine with it
