/design I love you, but everything here seems to be visual / figma / screen based things. It makes me wonder, where is the design theory, industrial design, design-away-from-the-screen and other design matters? This channel is 99.9% digital design. So where is the real design channel?

There should be sub channels really. /design to encompass everything, but filters available if you want to dive deep on a specific discipline. Could also be cool to give users an incentive to self-sort their filtered posts or even to have others able to vote for a better sub channel.

This would be best as I/we really don't want to recreate the URL world of all the subdivisions of design not speaking to each other!

I completely agree with your initial post too - with something as vague as “design” there are just so many ways to interpret it. I don’t think you should splinter the community into different disciplines, but there should be a way to focus in on exactly what I want to see. I want to see all /design disciplines!
