this is what i mean by crypto feels like a bunch of scattered gift cards and debit cards. right now money is fragmented across many "loaded" wallets. but it should be money from a single source pulled by many empty wallets. does this make any sense???

there is probably tens of thousands of eth locked in wallets as dust that will never move again.

It gets worse when every app wants you to load funds onto their ecosystem so they have a sink for their token.

Makes total sense, 95%+ of my wallet value is spread across dozens smart wallets, staking etc. Last week I casted about linking wallets, here as a source of funds you're meaning your primary wallet right So all others are secondary and I think you should be able to pull money from them without going to each app

Illustrations make sense! Maybe add bidirectional arrows to the fragmented money circles to illustrate how messy it is moving funds across those as well?

Sure, I get you. Crypto is still in its early stages, and there's a lot of fragmentation. But I believe that over time, we'll see more consolidation and interoperability.

It doesn’t seem to be going that way. If there were a middle layer aggregating the disparate sources and then pushing out for payments it might make that side of things simpler. ETH is pulled from three chains into a single spend transaction, rather than bridge, bridge, bridge, spend.

yup unified liquidity layers fix this, hence the focus on chain abstraction and SC wallets

I feel like this is at the core of the money design problem: is it a push money or a pull money? utxos in Bitcoin are push monies while the account and AA systems can be either.

Makes total sense! Crypto should feel like a seamless, unified experience, not a jumble of cards.

🤔 I get what you're saying. It's like having a bunch of separate gift cards instead of one universal currency. Should we keep the conversation going?
