🔐Ledger, Trezor or Bitbox? Hardware wallet! Metamask, extensions and software wallets should only be used with small amounts (farming+airdrop). It is a good idea to have a hardware wallet disconnected from the internet and where you have never imported the seed. I personally use Ledger and I also have some limited versions (for example the one of the NFT World Of Women project), however in this overview we will see pros and cons of each. 🔐 Ledger: Nano X/ Nano S Plus (France) ✅ Pros: -Very high level of security thanks to the Secure Element. -Compatibility with over a thousand cryptocurrencies and tokens. -Ledger Live: well-made user interface to manage crypto, NFT, staking, etc. -Nano X has Bluetooth connection (mobile-friendly). ❌ Cons: -Closed source for the Secure Element firmware (less transparent). 🔐 Trezor: Safe 5, Safe3, Model One (Czech Republic) ✅ Pros: -Completely open source, both hardware and software. -No proprietary chip. -Direct support for advanced passphrases and Shamir Backup (Model T). ❌ Cons: -Less resistant to physical attacks (does not use Secure Element). -Less integrated NFT support than Ledger. -Model One does not support some cryptocurrencies. Website: https://trezor.io/ 🔐 BitBox02 (Switzerland) ✅ Pros: -Strong attention to privacy and security. -Open source code. -Backup via microSD. -Minimal and easy to use design. -Two versions: Bitcoin-only and multi-asset. ❌ Cons: -Support for a more limited number of cryptocurrencies than Ledger and Trezor. -Proprietary software (but with open code). -Less known, therefore less community.
