Do the ratings typically match your expectations? Most of the times they don't in my case

i dont use Google reviews, but i’ve traveled a lot and have yet to be let down by hotels or things to do rated 4.5 or 5 circles on TripAdvisor

Do you also use other discovery apps? Maybe paired with friends recs?

i don't - are there any good ones? i used to work in this area and it's hard to get both broad coverage (scale) and quality
