unfortunately no. we need some movement in something thought to make the chain more active

Couldn't agree more, hopefully with python we get some projects and developers that will build something interesting. The tech of algorand is extremely good for scaling but it hasn't drawn in developers. I'm also hoping we change governance to a degree as I think a lot of users only stake and forget for the gov period.

i hear this all the time, “algorand is good for scaling” but why are developers not drawn to this? i think it’s because developers need to make a living and algorand economics as a chain can’t provide this. i would divert all staking rewards to focus on developer growth and hackathons for the ecosystem.

1 / Don’t get me wrong, the tech and scaling is top notch but I think foremost developers had to learn Teal. There is no incentive for them compared to learning Solidity or Rust and as you mentioned the blockchain is not designed for them to make a living straight for fees for an example.

/ 2 and with our governance design people just lock algos up and wait for reward, there is barely anything to do except just wait (this is an bad circle probably due to developers not coming to the eco system). I have a big bag of Algo and won’t sell immediately but will reduce it in this bull cycle if nothing change

yes, i would have to agree. i have spent a lot of time doing administrative and council work for the goanna dao on algorand and we have some interesting things cooking this year. i hope it’s well received in the community.
