No and although I know it is there I don’t see anything in the FAQ or any  info for the L3. There is a “we are on solana now” banner so I tried that.

Yup, documentation is shoddy for sure. On the degen chain block explorer (https://explorer.degen.tips/) there's a button somewhere on the bottom to add the chain to your metamask. Once that's added, try switching to it in your metamask and check the degen.tips website again for the claim button.

Going to need to punt for a bit and this is clearly the right info but I don’t see the details I need to add the L3 
 to MetaMask.

Browser has to see MetaMask. The button doesn’t show up in mobile browser without MetaMask connected.

Still no claim button. But apparently now connected on that chain.
