NFT term got so damaged from last cycle might need a new name for mainstream to give them a chance again i've thought of stuff like UDAs (unique digital assets) which is both easier to understand the word components of than "non-fungible tokens" and follows the 3 letter acronym thing but also could do something more similar but dumber like non-fungys the g proncouned like the g in fungible or sponge not like the g in fungus

it'll just end up being the thing, not the token. buying a picture, a subscription, a concert ticket, credits, etc etc etc we don't listen to mp3's we listen to music

I get the argument but it’s a bit more nuanced than that. It’s not the file format or the name of NFTs that’s getting push back but the conceptual idea of spending a lot of money on some non-fungible digital asset.
