Crypto is a nightmare from an ethics standpoint — it’s filled with scammers, grifters, liars, opportunists, crony capitalists, etc.

It also doesn’t shy away from racism, misogyny, homophobia, classism, etc.

But Vitalik making a communism joke? That’s where we draw the line 😤

He has been referring to communism in a serious matter in the past aswell. Imo its a massive L framing communism as something good no matter what adjective you slap before it.

Sure, but why call it communism when it is effectively the opposite. In any case I think crypto is much closer to free markets philosophy such as Milton Friedman. 

I think the idea that crypto will make the world a better place is naive, since it is essentially hypercapitalism with all pros and cons.

Is he sympathetic to communism? I doubt it if you mean the autocratic systems that murdered millions of people

But is it worth looking at the idea maze to reimagine economic systems (a la radical markets)? Absolutely
