Not gonna lie, sometimes I often wonder if the venture game is actually just 'spray and pray'.

I made an effort to hand pick YC deals for 10 yrs and it has worked pretty well. there were some big funds who tried the 'back everything YC does' and that didn't work out because valuations already out of whack when they could get in

Think Khosla Ventures is one of the few firms that really sticks tight to their discipline of not investing when you are being baited to pay higher valuations due to hype or crowding of the cap table.
