1/2 GM Degens, Spam Bans Part II 🚨

We’re now using Warpcast’s spam labels instead of building a custom solution. Big thanks to @pichi for posting about it (and sorry for banning you by accident 🙃). If you were mislabeled, follow the tips in her guide to reduce the chance of being flagged as spam.

Tips = real money, so we’re here to reward legit creators, not spammers.

Degen tipping should support quality content, not low-effort farming.

A label is a simple JSON object that tells you about the provider, type and target of the label. 

It's published either as a flat file or can be served over APIs by label providers. If it's a file, it must be in the JSONL standard.

Warpcast has a spam classifier that quickly identifies bad behavior on the Faracster network. 

This includes things like following others in bulk, posting repetitive or llm generated content and other actions that annoy users on the network.

The algorithm seems very new and probably need some more time in the oven. 

Banning "Maybe" spammy accounts without advanced notice seems to be excessive.

There needs to be clear guidelines for users to follow, and they need time to adjust.

Web2 deplatforming is a big factor for web3 onboarding, I think web3 approach needs to be softer.
