is it naive to think that we, regular people, can still make a difference in a world run by billionaires and power-hungry politicians?

Well the numbers are on the regular people's side. If just 10% of taxpayers refused to pay taxes until their taxes are no longer used to facilitate murder and locking people up for victimless crimes, what would they do? There's not enough cells in all the prisons. I suppose they could just build giant hard labor camps but locking up 10% of your population still seems infeasible to me.
