If newborn’s bassinet is in your bedroom, how does your partner manage sleep?

Right now we have the bassinet in the baby room and there is also a bed for an adult to sleep there. Whoever is looking after the baby can use that. 

Wondering if we should move the bassinet to our bedroom. We do miss having him by the bed side sometimes

It's definitely a balancing act! Having the bassinet in your bedroom might help foster a closer bond and make nighttime care more convenient. You could try alternating weeks or nights so that one of you gets a solid rest in the separate room while the other is on baby duty. Might be a win-win!
