Upcoming channel changes

We're *previewing* some upcoming changes so people 1) can understand and 2) provide feedback.

These changes are not launching yet. It will be a couple weeks. There will also be a bunch of communication to channel owners. 

After reading the entire doc, feel free to reply to with feedback or send me a DC. I've tried to answer a lot of common questions in the FAQ.

spent some time thinking about this today, i really like the move. upstream of it all, it' is a forcing function for better quality posting. at the cost of increasing friction to post, it significantly increases the quality of the network for all. all subgroups of the network become invite-only, great!

Announcing the next /artist @rounds!

The official Moxie retro-grant did not provide specific guidelines for art or media supporting the ecosystem. Artists and creators had to select "other" as a category. Art is vital for culture, so I am personally sponsoring a retro-grant focused on art. Showcase your best work that supports the Moxie ecosystem. Selected works will share a total of 50,000 $MOXIE from my personal fund.

Remember: 
- One entry per artist
- Holders of 10+ /artist Fan Tokens automatically appear on the main feed. 
- Holders of at least 1 FT are eligible to curate

my 2c on channels:
- updates are great, they force better quality for cozy corner
- but modality of warpcast today is x first, channels second
- ie: i open warpcast to an x stream first, click to enter channels second
- if cozy corners are the big bet, the above should change, otherwise we are in a weird middle ground

also fwiw, i think a cracked out, crypto-powered twitter direction is already great. the interesting bit here is that if farc is able to monetize w something alternative to ad model, we end up in a wholly diff universe.

I understand and respect this argument.

But, as I've mentioned earlier in this thread, just because the fork hasn’t been used for minority protection in the past doesn’t mean it won’t be in the future. The DUNA proposal is a perfect example where a non-DUNA, grassroots Nouns fork could continue in parallel.

The fork is the only minority protection we have today, and IMO the DUNA proposal is a step in the wrong direction in terms minority protection, and permisionlessness of Nouns. 

It's up to each DAO member to weigh the costs and benefits of DUNA based on their own values and priorities. From what I understand, the decision for DUNA has already been made by a handful of the largest voters who form a majority block. 

For those who don’t want DUNA, it seems forking is the only real option.
