some things i think folks need to be reminded of occasionally: > to assume makes an ass out of u and me > your lack of planning does not constitute an emergency on my part > being nice, present, and helpful usually gets you through most doors > those with logs in their eyes are quickest to point out the sticks in others' > you can act like you deserve to be places, but that doesn't create an obligation for others to invite you > not everyone will like you, and that's okay

the secret to consistently juicy pork chops: sous vide them first (65C for 1.5hr), chill in the fridge, then sear and render the fat these pork chops were cooked in a balsamic/dijon/sage marinade and oh boy I wish y’all could’ve smelled it while it was searing sound on for sear asmr

spent yesterday evening doing food/lifestyle photography for a local wine shop i got to eat all the food and drink the wine (had a delicious low tannin orange that i think will be my wine of the summer), finished off the night with gossiping with the staff, helping them come up with better plating ideas for some of the dishes, and went to a comedy show at a queer bar across the street, then poorly timed my bike home to be during the beginnings of a snowstorm :)

this newly self proclaimed gym rat got lifting gloves bc her delicate hands were hurting too much and chin ups are hard enough already!!! also tbch I once again really did not want to go to the gym but I dragged my butt there and did a less intense pull day than originally planned 😇
