my last tattoo i got in brazil and it was $80 USD and covered almost my entire inner forearm i'm about to get my next one here in montreal (~18 months later) that's around the same size and it'll be $500 USD 🫠 great example of how wildly different the cost of labour can be in different areas of the world for the same level of talent in the same service

s03w01 in /the-arena 🚢 this week for /uno I focused on shipping information density and conversation thread improvements to the cast replies sheet while a small shipping week, drilling down and focusing on tightening up one very small area unlocked the exact look and feel we’ve been trying to achieve within Uno the last couple of months. designing as you build has its benefits for speed, but it also means you iterate less on the look and feel. very satisfied with having spent the time to work through this!

i don't talk about politics here much at all, and there's a reason for that. but as a queer woman, my heart has been very heavy the last few days. it's really hard to see people gloating and supporting the election of a man who has made it clear my rights - and the rights of many others - do not matter. my community does not matter. my gender does not matter. yes, inflation fucking sucks. yes, foreign policy, education, student debt, workers rights, tech privacy, etc etc is all very important. but what is society without mutual respect and understanding for your neighbour at home? how can we come together as a country if we can't even agree on the fact that every person in the US is a human being who deserves basic rights, freedoms, and equal opportunity? for some reason we can't agree on that, because for some reason we've been made to believe that certain people having their own rights infringes upon our own rights, and that makes me deeply, deeply sad.

@christopher and I just shipped passkey-enabled onboarding along with wallet creation for /uno why did we spend the last few weeks on this? we expect our users to love this login experience - the ability to easily access and manage your account(s) is the first big touch point new users have with any platform these passkey-enabled accounts give them the protection they deserve along with the opportunity to seamlessly participate in the onchain ecosystem from day 1 on Uno one more milestone crossed on our path to beta! (check out the process diagram for the onboarding flow - it does feel a little like magic how much goes on in the background from just a few button clicks)
