Another small tweak to my Hypersub. I'm abandoning the name "Subs Up" as it implies a subscription and I believe leads people to seek some sort of return on their monthly spend. Like a Patreon, Buy Me a Coffee, or Ko-Fi, my use of Hypersub is just a way to make fan patronage easy and onchain. It’s funny, I was just talking about pseudoscience with @purp but the appeal to GDP is kind of pseudo-economics. And economics is already an unscientific field of study that is often falsely paraded as a science. So yeah, GDP is basically useless.

The happy thumb can only do so much to counter the way of speaking I developed on twitter. The hellscape of online discussion and algorithmic amplification forced me to always be forceful in my assertions, which combined with how counter-cultural they are, rubs people the wrong way. Often people I like and respect. If I piss you off, not with the content of my argument, but with the way I say it, let me know. I won’t be offended, and I will work to improve. We live in heated times, and we could all bear to cool down a little.

If stocks didn’t exist, Elon, Bezos, and Thiel wouldn’t be megabillionaires. They’d have to pay themselves and their investors with real income not with this funny money that they can’t actually sell without it rapidly depreciating. All of the insane things rich people do with borrowing money to acquire things essentially for free is because stocks exist, and thus merely eliminating one thing (shares of companies) would radically reshape the world we live in, what wealth means, and the nature of power. Discuss.

Someone sniped my retrofuturist.eth ENS haha. I looked at the account on Zapper and it seems like this is all they do. I won't be buying it back from them, as I assume they expect I would.
