"If you want to understand how something works, study it when it's coming apart." Everyone talks about being contrarian. @mhd suggests that alpha is actually about consistency in an area or field. "I think about consistency as actually the most contrarian thing that you could do." As others come and go and things rise and fall, you develop edge.
