CJ Mosley has agreed to take a pay cut to help the Jets remain flexible and stay under the cap. I don’t think I have ever seen a CFL player get drafted. Stiggers has a unique and inspiring story. The Jets think he can play and how he’s already handled adversity they think he won’t fail in the NFL.

Jets trade John Franklin-Myers to the Broncos for a sixth round pick. This is clearly a salary dump. One unfortunate side effect of drafting great players like Sauce and GW is eventually you have to pay them. With the addition of Reddick and McDonald waiting in the wings I think the defensive line will be ok.

Jets draft Braelon Allen rb from Wisconsin. He’s a big boy at 6’1 235. He could be a nice change of pace back to complement Breece. His size could be used in short yardage situations to save Breece’s legs. Jets have used all 3 picks on offense so far and it’s understandable.

Jets trade up to the first pick in the third round and select WR Malachi Corley. I like it.

Jets select OT Fashanu after trading back to 11. They pick up a 4th and 5th round pick and get their left tackle of the future and an insurance policy for this year. I wouldn’t be surprised if JD trades up into the second round and gets a WR. It’s a deep class.

The big day is tomorrow. I'm at the point where the best move is to trade back, recoup a second pick, take an offensive lineman, then take a WR in the second round. This is a deep class for these 2 positions. If you can't get one of the top 3 WRs or Bowers you can still get a good one in the second round.

The NFL draft is next week. I know many Jets fans are already counting all the injuries that are bound to happen on the OL and want to draft one in the first round. But, I don't subscribe to the double condom fatalist approach. Take the best WR/TE on the board at #10 and load up for a Super Bowl run. #TakeFlightNYJ
