On February 8th local time, CCTV reporters learned that US President Trump has reached an agreement with social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) to withdraw the lawsuit against the company. It is reported that Trump initially filed a lawsuit in July 2021, after his Twitter account was banned two days after the "Capitol Hill riot" incident. Twitter considers the risk of Trump inciting further violence, while Trump believes that this measure violates his rights.
